Description and application of the AOD-210 detector
The AOD-210 detector is designed to work with ABAX 2 and ABAX two-way wireless system and can be used both outdoors and indoors in demanding environmental conditions such as halls. The use of two detection paths - passive infrared (PIR) and microwave (MW) - combined with advanced digital signal processing and dynamic temperature compensation enables effective motion detection while reducing false alarms.
The device also enables approach zone control and offers a pet motion immunity function for pets weighing up to 20 kg (Pet function). The AOD-210 monitors the motion detection system and indicates possible malfunctions, and built-in LED indicators indicate violations in test mode, facilitating the detector's commissioning and adjustment process.
Additional functions and system integration
The AOD-210 detector has built-in temperature and dusk sensors with sensitivity adjustment, which allows it to be used in home automation alarm systems without the need to install additional measuring elements. Configuration of the device and software update are done remotely, and in the ABAX 2 system radio communication is encrypted in the AES standard.
The device is compatible with ABAX 2 system controllers (ACU-220 and ACU-280) and ARU-200 retransmitter, as well as with ABAX system controllers (ACU-120, ACU-270, ACU-250 and ACU-100 version min. 4.04), INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel and ARU-100 retransmitter - the required software version of a given device is given in its description on the manufacturer's website. The detector is equipped with tamper protection that reacts to the opening of the housing and detachment from the ground.
Construction, installation and accessories
The housing of the AOD-210 detector is made of polycarbonate, has an IP54 rating and is resistant to changing weather conditions, including increased humidity. The unit can be mounted directly on a flat surface or using dedicated brackets from the BRACKET C and BRACKET E sets, allowing the detector to be tilted vertically or horizontally, as well as to increase the distance from the wall to avoid the detection field being obscured by architectural or installation elements.
Available angle and ball mounts allow the detector to be set at a fixed or adjustable angle, including up to 60° vertically and up to 90° horizontally. The BRACKET E kit includes a body, AOD-210 detector mounting insert, lifting distances, base and OPAL series ball mount, as well as an additional tamper sensor. A HOOD C (white) or HOOD C GY (gray) protective canopy can also be mounted on the detector's housing, which further protects the unit from the effects of precipitation and solar radiation. The model is available in two colors: white (AOD-210) and gray (AOD-210 GY).
